Almeria - Birds Checklist

by Jesus Contreras

Greater Flamingo and other water birds in the Wetlands of Almeria

The coast of Almeria counts on many wetlands, such as 'Punta Entinas', salt marshes 'Cerrillos', Ponds of 'La Cañada de las Norias', wetland 'Albuferas de Adra' and salt marshes of Cabo de Gata. Greater Flamingos and other water birds inhabit the numerous wetlands of Almeria as well as the salt marshes where they can eat shrimp, algae, and other small creatures that live in shallow water.
